The rust conversion agent prevents rust by converting the rust on the metal surface into a new kind of non-toxic substance.Typically, the agent would react chemically with the oxides on the surface of the metal to create a dense, unbreakable protective layer. This protective layer insulates the netal from air and moisture,thus preventing rust from occurring as a result of the oxidizing reaction that occurs when iron comes into contact with air and moistre. In particular,the specific chemica1 process of rust converters works like this: the ingredients in rust converters such as phosphoric acid and tantalum acid react chemically with the iron oxides in the rust to produce a dense layer of iron phosphate or iron tantalate complex.This 1ayer of complex is stable and not easy to be further oxidized, thus achieving the effect of removing rust.In addition,the transformed protective fi1m has good adhesion and insulating properties, which can isolate the iron surface from air and water, effectively preventing the further erosion of the iron surface by oxygen and noistre, thus preventing the regeneration of rust.
